Kerry Airport rolls out Red Carpet to show visitors that the Kingdom is “alive inside”

AFTER walking along the red carpet to the Terminal building, there was a pint of the “black schtuff” awaiting the first passengers to fly into Kerry Airport from Dusseldorf Weeze on July 1st.

To mark the commencement of the new Ryanair service between Kerry and Dusseldorf Weeze, the latest visitors to the Kingdom were given the full Red Carpet treatment as they were toasted with champagne, Guinness and strawberries. The flights will depart from Kerry at 9am and arrive into Kerry at 1.55pm on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday,” said Noel Ryan of Kerry Airport.

This new link between Kerry and Germany is welcome news for tourism in Kerry and the southwest with potential to bring an additional 10,000 German into the region over the summer season. This is particularly good news in the current economic climate,” he added.

Many of the passengers who arrived, as well as those who departed for Dusseldorf Weeze earlier in the day, availed of the great value low fares which start from €10 one-way including taxes.

Dusseldorf-Weeze already services over 50 Ryanair destinations and it is located one hour from Dusseldorf City centre.
